Steven Kapoloma, Malawi
Steven Kapoloma is the Head of Corporate Affairs for the Malawi Revenue Authority, a public agency responsible for collection and accounting for tax revenue in Malawi. A Hubert Humphrey fellow with 15 years of leadership and communication experience focusing on advocacy, strategic communications, content marketing and media relations. Kapoloma is an award-winning and innovative PR and marketing professional with a history of success in helping organizations win support and sustain positive engagement with disparate and difficult stakeholders. Kapoloma is a chartered marketer, chartered Public Relations Practitioner and holds an MBA in international business.
Adetola Kayode, Nigeria
Adetola Kayode is a Broadcaster/Journalist at Lagos Television. She is Veteran journalist with more than 15 years of experience on the field. As a reporter, she has covered numerous topics, including health, transportation, politics, and family issues, among others. She also hosts shows in which guests discuss Nigeria’s growth as a country.
Marc Saikali, Director of France 24
Marc Saikali was appointed Director of FRANCE 24 (4 channels: in French, English, Arabic and Spanish) on October 2012.
Marc Saikali started his career in 1988 as a reporter and presenter at France Television. He was appointed Chief Editor at France 3 in 1998, then served as foreign news Chief Editor for France 3 nationwide channel from 2003 to 2006.
From 2008 to 2011, Marc Saikali worked as Head of France 3 Corsica and Director of Mediterranean satellite channel Via Stella from 2008 to 2011.
From 2006 to 2008, he worked on creating and launching Medi 1 Sat, a Franco-Moroccan 24-hour bilingual news channel where he served as News and Training Director.
Under EU initiatives, Marc also trains television and radio journalists from the Mediterranean region and Eastern European countries.
Marc Saikali is a Middle-East specialist, trilingual in French, English and Arabic and holds a degree from the Bordeaux Journalism School
Paul Udoto Nyongesa, Kenya
Paul Udoto is a strategic communications specialist at Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), a large multi-functional and quasi-military government conservation organization. In this role, he serves as a communication counsel to the organization’s top leadership, manages reputation and image, coordinates publicity and media relations, leads crisis communication, champions responsible corporate citizenship and is a steward of organizational brand. He is a digital media enthusiast with 25 plus years’ experience as a teacher, journalist, strategic communication consultant and thought-leader in public affairs. Besides a Bachelor of Education degree from Moi University, he holds a postgraduate diploma in Mass Communication and a master's degree in Communication Studies, both from the University of Nairobi in Kenya. He is also an Alumni of the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, a prestigious United States government-sponsored one-year leadership and professional development program. He spent his Humphrey Year at the Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Bamai Namata, Cameroon
Bamai Namata is a young entrepreneur who is very passionate about development through entrepreneurship and economic growth. He is the founder of companies in Cameroon that have gone on to make a splash in the business scene and cement his place as one of the top young entrepreneurs in the country. Presently working on Maibeta Inc., a fast growing company using technology to bring employment to young Africans, he has global ambitions and no plans of stopping. Bamai is an evangelist for youth entrepreneurship in Africa and travels widely to inspire more young people to bring positive change in their communities through entrepreneurship. His business innovation and commitment to youth has earned him multiple accolades and mentions from major organizations like Forbes Africa, BBC, Tony Elumelu Foundation, Africa Youth Awards, Tech in Africa, Face2Face Africa, Business in Cameroon and many more.
