History

The African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) was created on 30th October 2006 during the 43rd and final session of the General Assembly of the Union of National Radio and Television of Africa (URTNA) in Abuja, Nigeria. From that day onwards the organisation was transformed into a new African Union called the African Union of Broadcasting Union (AUB/UAR). It was a historic moment that was recalled with much emotion, the role of this first African professional organization in the defense of personality and promoting the empowerment of women and men of this continent. So after 44 years of existence, a page has been turned with the aim of making the AUB an African Union Diaspora to open Radio and contribute to enriching the quality of life of Africans and revealing a true image of Africa. To achieve this, the PSU needs support of all those who want to see Broadcasting grow in Africa as a major achievement in a democratic environment in constant evolution. At the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) the majority of the time is devoted to project design, marketing, setting up partnerships, negotiations, training of professionals in the audiovisual industries and of course, coverage of African sports and cultural events. In conducting these activities, the EU action is guided by three (3) following principles:
