AUB's Seminar on Copyright
From 12 to 13 December 2017, the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) organized, in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), at Good Rade Hotel in Dakar, its first-ever training seminar on copyright in the financing of television in Africa.
Participants came from about twenty francophone countries in sub-Saharan Africa and the Maghreb. These included legal and commercial managers working in public television channels.
According to AUB’s Directorate General, this training aims at giving participants the means to better equip themselves on the issues of copyright and the fight against piracy.
