African Union of Broadcasting, AUB Partners China’s National Radio and Television Administration Development Research Center, NRTA

The African Union of Broadcasting, AUB is building partnership with the Chinese National Radio and Television Administration Development Research Centre, NRTA on media development in Africa.

A delegation of the NRTA led by its Deputy Director, Shi Jie visited the AUB Secretariat in Dakar, Senegal where the two organizations held talks on opportunities for partnership in critical areas of media development and increased and cooperation between the media in Africa and China.

Director General of the AUB, Gregoire Ndjaka highlighted major strides made by the Union in building the capacity of broadcast organizations in Africa to make them competitive with those in other climes while effectively meeting the information needs of their respective countries.

Key areas of partnership discussed at the meeting include operationalization of the AUB Training Centre through the provision contemporary equipment and training assistance; production of children’s programmes, co-hosting of Africa- China Media Conference, and NRTA’s participation at the 15th AUB General Assembly in June, 2025.
