As part of the AUB Foundation Against Cancer (AFAC) activities for 2025, the African Union of Broadcasting is honored to announce the launch of a series of Masterclasses on male cancers, starting April 15, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. GMT.
The objective is to provide media professionals with essential tools and best practices to better inform and educate the public about this scourge. The selected themes are as follows:
Session 1: Understanding Male Cancers: April 15, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. GMT – Duration: 120 minutes
Session 2: Ethics and Media Coverage of Male Cancer: April 29, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. GMT – Duration: 120 minutes
Session 3: Testimonials and Storytelling: May 14, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. GMT – Duration: 120 minutes
Session 4: Prevention Strategies and Raising Awareness of Male Cancer: May 22, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. GMT – Duration: 120 minutes
The first session will be led by Dr. Berrhouma Sami, Head of the Urology Department at Habib Thameur Public Hospital and President of the Tunisian Society of Urology.
This training program is specifically designed for editors, reporters, journalists, and focal points of the AUB's content exchange platform (AUBVision). https://aws2.aubvision.com/Account4/LogOn.
It aims to equip participants with the skills needed to improve storytelling and information processing, in order to communicate accurately and sensitively on the issue of male cancer in their media productions.
