Climate change impacts are said to manifest primarily in the loss of lives and livelihoods. Any effort therefore to reduce these impacts are made to save lives and livelihoods.

Africa’s increasing vulnerabilities to floods, severe storms and droughts require greater momentum in efforts to reduce risks, help people mitigate and adapt to the changing climate.

Speakers at the AUB Media Summit on climate change expect journalists and other media practitioners to build their capacities to understand human behaviour and best approaches to achieve behaviour changes in response to information and messages about early warnings.
