CHAN 2020 : Morocco held to draw by Rwanda
The Atlas Lions failed to beat a strong Amavubi team from Rwanda, last Friday, January 22, 2021.
After the 1-0 win over Togo, Morocco, the title holders of the 2018 edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN), could not do better than a draw (0-0) on the second day.
Great favorite of this sixth edition of the CHAN organized in Cameroon, Morocco, led by the top scorer in the history of the competition, captain El Kaabi, 26 years old, created several scoring opportunities which were stopped regularly by a Rwandan team with a strong defense.
First in Group C with 4 points, Morocco will play its second round qualification against Uganda. The draw is therefore favorable to the Rwandan team.
With two points on the clock, the players of rwandan coach, Vincent Mashami will face Togo, which has three points, in the third and last group match, on the 26 of January 2021 in Limbe.
