Invitation to the Online Masterclass - AUB Foundation against Cancer, 23rd August 2024
Following the successful launch of the AUB Foundation Against Cancer in Yaoundé, Cameroon, in March 2024, the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) is proud to announce an upcoming online Masterclass designed to equip media professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively report on cancer.
Understanding Cancer and Telling Compelling Stories
Recognizing the critical role of media in raising awareness and promoting cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, the AUB is offering a two-part Masterclass tailored to the needs of newsroom staff.
· Understanding the Science of Cancer: This session will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of cancer, including its causes, types, and treatment options.
· Telling the Cancer Story: This session will focus on effective storytelling techniques, emphasizing the importance of humanizing cancer stories, reducing stigma, and inspiring hope.
Who Should Attend?
This Masterclass is open to high and middle-level newsroom staff, including chief editors, reporters, journalists, etc.
