Obituary: The CEO of the Congolese Radio Television is no more

Ernest Kabila Ilunga died on Friday, June 25, 2021, in Kinshasa.

The African Union of Broadcasting loses one of its members. Mr. Ernest Kabila Ilunga, Director General of RTNC (Radio Télévision Nationale Congolaise) died on Friday, June 25, 2021, in Kinshasa.

According to family sources, the CEO of RTNC died of illness at HJ hospital, in Limete District, where he had been interned for several days.


Ernest Kabila Ilunga had been at the head of the Congolese National Radio Television since 2018. He was appointed by the former president of the Democratic Republic of Congo, HE Joseph Kabila, to replace Nicole Dibambu, assigned to the head of the Congolese press agency (ACP).
